MEETING SINOPSIS:
From January 16 to 17, Gaec-Africa took part in the ‘Pre-Symposium Summit’ hosted by NYUAD in the city of Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. This encounter had a double objective, on one hand, it was a preparatory meeting to exchange and think together about the “Dakar Translation Symposium: Africa and Her Globalization” that will be held in Dakar next June 2023. On the other hand, this gathering aimed to discuss the progresses already achieved in the implementation of the “Center for Translation, Writing and Literature” that Université Assane Seck of Ziguinchor will host in Senegal. This salutary project, in which the Gaec-Africa will be fully involved, is a historic opportunity to re-engage the libraries that accompany us in our presences and projections in the global history of the world. Joining this stimulating network will enable our collective to reverse and review the libraries surrounding our presence and projections in global history.
